Eleanor C. (Prestier) Morabito, age 94 of North Canton, passed away Tuesday evening. Born in Canton to the late Thomas and Rose (Martelli) Prestier she was also preceded in death by her step-mother Margaret Prestier, brothers Frank and Rudy Prestier, Jim Prandine and sister Geraldine Fusco. She was a graduate of Canton McKinley High School and a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in North Canton. Eleanor was loved by all who knew her. She was a great cook and baker and was always willing to share her recipes with anyone that requested them. She was an avid reader of novels. Eleanor's best quality, and she had so many, was her ability to listen and advise whenever her children, grandchildren, and friends needed her. Eleanor was legendary and the true heart of her family. She touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Eleanor is survived by her husband of 68 years John Morabito, children Shari (Robert) Audia of Millbrook, NY, Richard (Cheryl) Morabito of Canton, Debra (Larry) Walton of Canton, GA, 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, brothers Gerald (Alice) Prestier, Thomas (Josephine) Prestier, brother-in-law Joseph Fusco, sister-in-law Wanda Prestier all of Canton and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Saturday from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home with services to follow at 12:30 pm, Rev. Fr. Don King officiating. Internment will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crossroads Hospice or St. Joseph Care Center.
