John Muica

John Muica, 83, passed away December 24, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 4, 1933 in Romania and resided in Canton the majority of his life. John retired from Shanafelt Manufacturing Company in 1995 where he worked as a welder. John was a devoted husband to his loving wife of over 56 yrs, Olympia; loving father to his children, daughter Olympia R (Charles)Duchon and son Sorin (Heidi); and a devoted grandfather “Mosu” to his six grandchildren, Andrea ( Matt) Wien , Erin and Stephanie Duchon, Stephen, Adrian and Melody Muica. John enjoyed spending time with family, vacationing with his grandchildren and will be remembered as a quiet gentle spirit and a caring provider. Calling hours will be held Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 5p.m. to 7p.m. followed by a Saracusta service from 7:00pm-7:30 pm. at Rossi Family Funeral Home 730 30^th St NW Canton, 44709. There will be an hour of visitation Friday, December 30^th, 2016 from 9 am to 10 am at St. George Romanian Orthodox Church 144 30th St NW, Canton, 44709, Funeral Mass to follow at 10 am with Rev. Fr. Ionel Satnoianu officiating. Burial immediately following at Forrest Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions for those that wish can be made to St. George Romanian Orthodox Church.
