LOUIS “LOU” S. CAMPANELLI, age 84 of Canton, passed away early Friday morning. Born in Canton to the late Nicola and Clementina (Lupe) Campanelli he was preceded in death by brothers Louie, Dominic, Anthony, Joe and Frank Campanelli, sisters Tillie Pacelli, Mary Evers and Nickolene Campanelli. A life member of St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Parish, he was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Lou retired from Republic Steel in 1991 after 35 years of service. He was a member of the Korean War Veterans, an avid golfer and McKinley Bulldog fan. He is survived by his children Joseph and Louie Campanelli, Luann Campanelli and fiance' Dave Frank, grandson Mason Campanelli whom he dearly loved, former wife and friend Jean and many nieces and nephews. Lou enjoyed hanging with Paul Marone and the gang at Tim's Tavern. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Tats Nieto, Mike Santangelo, Carl Pandoli and Maria Byington for their love and friendship. Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 5 to 8 pm at the Rossi Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 am at St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Parish with Rev. Fr. Tom Bishop, celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
