Michael N. DiCato, age 89 of Canton, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2018. He was born in Canton on May 8, 1928 to the late Edward and Angeline DiCato. Michael was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict; after serving his country, he worked for the Ford Motor Company, where he retired from after 40 years. Michael was a member of Christ the Servant Catholic Parish, and an avid bowler and golfer. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Marcella “Sally;” grandson Lucas Kramer; and brothers Hank and Robert. Michael is survived by his children Terri (Bob) Wells of Canton, Judi Kramer of Canton, Mike DiCato of North Canton, Deana (Mark) Ramey of Mogadore, and Denise (Ron) Morris of Louisville. Also survived by nine grandchildren Amy Rohr, Joseph Rohr, Leah (Bill) Jeffries, Larissa (Mike) Smith, Les Kramer (fiance Jessica), Nikki (David) Smith, Beth (Tony) Fulst, Rachel Morris, and Jacob Morris; and nine great-grandchildren. Family and friends will be received at the Rossi Family Funeral Home on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. at Christ the Servant Catholic Parish, with Msgr. Lewis Gaetano as celebrant. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ the Servant Catholic Parish.
