Together Again!

Our amazing Mother, Mouna Shaheen left this earth on October 14, 2013 to be joined in Spirit with Our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. Born in Damascus, Syria, she married George G. Shaheen & came to Canton, Ohio in 1966. Beloved Wife, Mother & Grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband George G. Shaheen & son Michal G. Shaheen of Canton, Ohio, her Father & Mother, James & Mary Chamandy and Brother, Abood Chamandy all of Damascus, Syria. She is survived by her Daughter, Monalisa M. Shaheen-Jones of Fairlawn, Ohio and son, Richard J. Shaheen of Washington D.C. Son-In-Law, Danny R. Jones, Daughter–In-Law, Jeanne Shaheen, Grandchildren, Ramsey & Sophia Shaheen & Gabrielle & Mariah Jones. Sister, Ida Chamandy of Aman, Jordon & Sister-In Law, Sadie Shaheen of Canton, Ohio & many nieces, nephews & love ones. Loved by many & will be missed by all. Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 18, 2013 from 6-8pm at St. George Syrian Orthodox Church at 1118 Cherry Ave. N. E., Canton, Ohio 44704. Funeral Services will be on Saturday at St. George with viewing at 10:00am, services at 11:00am & interment at West Lawn Cemetery. Father Michael Corbin will be Officiating with visiting clergy. In lieu of Flowers please make donations to Crusaders of Canton Orphanage Fund in care of Sadie Shaheen.
