Virginia (DiMarzio) (Colamonico) Nehlen, age 87, passed away early Monday morning. Born in Canton to the late Alexander and Maria (DiNino) DiMarzio, she was preceded in death by her first husband Joseph Colamonico, son Richard Colamonico, brothers Angelo, August, Art DiMarzio and sister Anne Schoen. She was a member of St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Parish and the Ben V. Marconi Sons of Italy Lodge #1628. Virginia worked at Canton Stamping, Blair Cleaner's, AAA and Sumser Nursing Home where she worked in the activity department and played the keyboard for residents. She and her husband, Tom, volunteered playing music at every holiday for Stark County area nursing homes. She loved craft work and was a true gambler. She will be deeply missed. Virginia is survived by her husband Tom Nehlen, children Donna, Joey (Melba), Robert, 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, step-children Pam (Keith) Kleve, Lindy Nehlen, sisters-in-law Nicci DiMarzio, Yolanda Risaliti and Mary DiMarzio. Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 10 to 11 am at St. Anthony/All Saints Parish with a Mass of Christian burial to follow at 11am, Rev. Fr. Thomas Kraszewski celebrant. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
