Emanuel “Mike” Margaritakis, age 85 of North Canton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 7, 2018. He was born on October 6, 1932 to the late Stavros and Christina Margaritakis and preceded in death by his wife Amelia (Kourakos), sister Mary, grandson Christopher and granddaughter Mariah. He was a graduate of Timken Vocational High School and an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He retired form Danner Press after 43 years of service. Mike was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Nazir Grotto and was a 33rd Degree Mason. He bowled for nearly 50 years in the Mixed Orthodox League, enjoyed being in the Clown Unit in the Hall of Fame parades, hunting and traveling. He is survived his children; Shelley (Mike) Wheeler, Steve (Lisa) Margaritakis, Maria and Jimmy Margaritakis, six grandchildren; Lacey (Nick) Aukerman, Michael (Chelsie) Wheeler, Emanuel and Matthew Margaritakis, Briana and Bianca Oliver, three great-grandchildren; Christopher and Holton Aukerman, Knox Wheeler, brother Nick (Grace) Margaritakis, nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home and Monday from 10 to 11 am at church. Trisagion service will be at 3:00 pm Sunday. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Monday at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church with Rev. Dr. Daniel Rogich officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the VA Meals on Wheels, 2363 Nave Rd. SE, Massillon, OH 44646.

I WORKED WITH HIM AT DANNER FOR MANY YEARS , HE USED TO DRESS IS HIS CLOWN OUTFIT FOR THE DANNER KIDS CHRISTMAS PARTYS' , MY 35 YR. OLD SON
WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER ; AT 1ST HE WAS SCARED BUT YOUR DAD WORKED HARD TO GAIN HIS TRUST , HE TRUELY WORKED HARD TO PUT A SMILE ON THE KIDS FACES & I KNOW HE IS NOW IN A VERY SPECIAL PLACE !
