Carolyn F. (Rossetti) Cooper, age 79 of Canton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 12, 2024. She was born in Canton on December 3, 1944 to the late Anthony and Julia (Buch) Rossetti. A graduate of Timken High School, Carolyn worked for the U.S. Government where she administered the ASVAB test to incoming military recruits, as well as worked full-time at Macy's (her home away from home). She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and the Women's Club. Carolyn was a huge animal lover, and liked to crochet, cook, and bake. She also enjoyed her time volunteering at the voting polls every year, but nothing brought her more joy than being a grandma. Helping raise her four grandchildren was one of her greatest pleasures. She enjoyed every moment with them and loved to spend time with family and friends. Carolyn had the heart of an angel and the soul of a saint.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Christopher Cooper; siblings Bernard (Jane) Rossetti, Rosemarie (Pat) Porco, Richard (Mary Lou) Rossetti, Ronald Rossetti, Gary Rossetti, Dennis Rossetti, and Kenneth Rossetti; step-mother Catherine (Simile) Rossetti; step-brother Dan Simile.
Carolyn is survived by her ex-husband and dear friend Gary Cooper; children David (Jenny) Cooper, Jeff (Melissa) Cooper, Heather (Mike) Minock, and daughter-in-law Kyla Cooper-Ellis; grandchildren Lauren, Marissa, Lucca, and Nico; siblings Frances (Garry) Fisher, Kathleen Sherman, and Alan (Desiree) Rossetti; sisters-in-law Joan and Marty Rossetti; dearest aunt Jeanette Kragalott; as well as countless nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends will be received at the Rossi Family Funeral Home on Monday, March 18th from 6-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 19th at St. Peter Catholic Church at 11 a.m., with the Very Reverend Dr. David M. Misbrener as celebrant. Interment at North Lawn Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Stark County Humane Society or Pawsitive Hope.
