Jeananne "Jeannie" Acher (née Crowther) passed away on March 11, 2024, in Canton, Ohio. She was born January, 1947, in Canton, Ohio. She is survived by her 3 sons Aaron, Nathan, and Adam, Her brother Tom, 5 Grandkids and many loved nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by Her Mother Gladys and Father Charles, and by her beloved sister Viola Genet.
Jeannie was a vibrant soul who believed in dragons, had a talent for telling fortunes and giving sage advice, fearlessly rocked bold patterns and red hats. She had a unique skill of folding a dollar bill into a bow tie and was an expert Scrabble player. An artist at heart, she was a true hippie and enjoyed the thrill of the nickel slots. Jeannie loved shrimp in all its forms. Her ability to maintain deep and lasting friendships were truly admirable.
Throughout her life, Jeannie's sense of adventure took her to various places, including living in Germany, swimming in the Sea of Galilee, and exploring the holy sites in Jerusalem. She even ventured inside the King's chamber of the Great Pyramid of Giza and walked the Greek Acropolis. Jeannie's wanderlust spirit led her to destinations like Cincinnati, Wanakee, Wheeling, Opryland, Rhode Island, Florida, Vegas, and beyond, always seeking fun and excitement with her friends and family.
She did not have enemies, she did not live in regret, she made an effort to find good in everything she encountered.
A service to honor Jeannie's life will be held on Monday, 18th, from 12-2 at Rossi Family Funeral Home, located at 730 30th St NW, Canton, OH 44709. The Rossi Family Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements for Jeannie's passing, ensuring a respectful and memorable ceremony for all who wish to pay their respects.
