Shirley N. (Dunlap) Salvino

Shirley N. Salvino, age 90 of Canton, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2024. She was born in Ravenna, Ohio on October 15, 1933 to the late Fred and Ethel (Weirick) Dunlap. A graduate of Rootstown High School, she later became a self-employed beautician working for many nursing homes in the area. Shirley was a member of Little Flower Catholic Parish. She was always cooking and baking, and loved her grandchildren more than anything.

Along with her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her siblings Jeannie, Diane, and Dennis Dunlap. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Robert Salvino; sons Bob (Mary) Salvino, Michael (Samar) Salvino, and David (Ann) Salvino; grandchildren Alexandra, Vincent, Tony, Angie, David, Elizabeth, Gracie, and Danny; and three great-grandchildren Isabella, Maddie, and Marielle.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, April 19, 2024 at Little Flower Catholic Parish from 10 to 10:45 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 11 a.m. in the church. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Mercy Hospice, and to Donna Jean, Tina, Rachel, Caitlyn, and Barb for their help and care. Memorial donations, in Shirley's name, may be made to Little Flower Catholic Parish or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
