Harry Vlahos, age 89 of Canton, passed away Wednesday morning. Born in Canton to the late James and Clara (Rattale) Vlahos, he was also preceded in death by his sister Ann Coobatis and brothers George and Nick Vlahos. Harry was a graduate of McKinley High School, where he majored in Industrial Arts. He was offered a job as a cartoonist by Walt Disney himself, but Harry turned him down. An Air Force Veteran, Harry retired from the Hoover Company. He was a member of St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church. Harry is survived by his wife of 69 years, Bessie (Paul) Vlahos, son and daughter-in-law Denny and Michelle Vlahos, sisters Cleo Vlahos, Kathryn “Dolly” (Sam) Demos, brothers-in-law Paul (Angie) Paul, Harry (Sharon) Paul, sisters-in-law Nancy Venditti, Georgia (John) MacDonald and numerous nieces and nephews. Private funeral services will be held at St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Harry's name may be made to Aultman Compassionate Care Center, 2821 Woodlawn Ave. NW Canton, OH 44708.

Bessie & family,

Harry was and will always be in our hearts. He was a kind caring person.
He may be gone from this earth but will live on in the hearts of those that knew
and loved him.
