Josephine R. (Meola) Manderine, age 97 of Canton, passed away Tuesday afternoon. Born in Canton to the late Michael and Raeffela Meola, she was also preceded in death by her husband Samuel “Sam” Manderine, Sr., brother Frank Meola, sisters Rose Manderine, Philomena Meola, Margaret Liuzzi, and Olympia (Lee) Cusma. Josephine was a member of St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Parish. She was an avid vegetable and flower gardener. She loved to attend her grandsons sporting events and follow the Cleveland Indians. Josephine is survived by her sons Sam (Pam) Manderine of Canton, Manuel (Faith Andrus) Manderine of Florida, grandchildren David (Andrea) Manderine, Ann Marie (Jason) Klinefelter, great-grandsons Dominic and Anthony, brothers Anthony Meola of Bolivar, Michael (Joanne) Meola of Arizona, sister Loretta Evans of Arizona, sister-in-law Rose Meola of Canton and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Monday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Rossi Family Funeral Home, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 1:00 p.m. in St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Parish. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Josephine's name may be made to St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Parish, 1530 11th St. S.E., Canton, OH 44707. The family would like to thank and recognize the outstanding care provided by nurse Tonya, and caregivers Jessica and Jasmine.
