IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Adolia I.
(Dibattista) Sirgo
April 3, 1922 – August 11, 2018
Adolia (Dolly) I. Sirgo, age 96 of Canton, passed away early Saturday morning after an extended illness surrounded by family and friends. Dolly was born in Blacklick, Pennsylvania on April 3, 1922 to the late Vincenzo and Bambina DiBattista. Dolly was a graduate of McKinley High School and was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Her greatest attribute was taking care of others and putting everyone before herself - what God teaches all but many struggle to do. She was the greatest mother and friend anyone could possibly hope for. Her passing leaves a huge void for family and friends only to be filled but the wonderful memories and lessons she left behind for the many that were touched by her life. She was a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, marathon runner, bus driver, line dancer, cook, baker, ceramic maker, beach goer and loved all of her time and friends at Aultman Therapy Services. She was whatever you needed her to be. She taught us all by her actions not her words. She was an inspirational and loving soul. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Sirgo; sisters Lena Kelp and Dorothy Mosser; and brother Tony DiBattista. Dolly is survived by her children Ernie Jordan of Marlboro, OH, Joseph, Jr. of Canton, OH, Mark (Linda) of Raleigh, NC, and Patty (Rob) Miller of Paris, OH. Also survived by four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sisters Rose Marchand and Mary DiBattista. Family and friends will be received at the Rossi Family Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter Catholic Church on Thursday at 10 a.m., with the Very Reverend John E. Sheridan as celebrant. Interment will follow in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stark County Humane Society or the Alzheimer's Association. We love and miss you mom.
