Albert J. DePasquale II, Age 82 of Canton, passed away Sunday, July 12th, 2026. Born in Canton to the late Albert and Helen (Cavelli) DePasquale, was a graduate of Timken Vocational High School 1961. He served as a radioman on the USS Norfolk from 1961-1964. Al retired in 1994 after thirty years of service at the Timken Company, and was a member of the American Legion Post #44. 

An avid bowler and HUGE softball player, Al accomplished winning over fifty tournaments, including the United Steelworkers tourney in Zanesville three times and the Canton City tournament in 1982 with Golden Lodge and News City in 1984. He was inducted into the Softball Hall of Fame in 1998. 

Al is survived by his wife of sixty-one years Nancy (Rowley) DePasquale; son Albert M. DePasquale III; grand-daughters Gabrielle Cruz-DePasquale, and Rebecca DePasquale; brother Frank (Andrea) DePasquale; and sister Patty Scherff.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, July 31st from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. Funeral services to begin the funeral home at 1 p.m.
