Albert J. DePasquale II, Age 82 of Canton, passed away Sunday, July 12th, 2026. Born in Canton to the late Albert and Helen (Cavelli) DePasquale, was a graduate of Timken Vocational High School 1961. He served as a radioman on the USS Norfolk from 1961-1964. Al retired in 1994 after 30 years of service at the Timken Company. He was a member of the American Legion Post #44. An avid bowler and HUGE softball player, that accomplished winning over 50 tournaments including the United Steelworkers tourney in Zanesville 3 times and the Canton City tournament in 1982 with Golden Lodge and News City in 1984. He was inducted into the Softball Hall of Fame in 1998. Al is survived by his wife of 61 years Nancy(Rowley)DePasquale, son Albert M. DePasquale III, granddaughters Gabrielle Cruz-DePasquale, and Rebecca DePasquale, brother Frank (Andrea) DePasquale, and Sister Patty Scherff. Sincere THANKS to the staff at Rose Lane VA Center.
