Albert J. "Al" Petsy age 91 of Canton passed away Monday morning 3/30/20. A life long Cantonian, Al was born in Canton to the late Benny and Mary ( Baptist) Petsy. He was proceeded in death by his wife Joanna (Angelantoni) Petsy and daughter Cindie Petsy. Al was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a member of St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Church. Al retired from Saati Americas as a Technical Sales Representative after over 50 years of service to the screen printing industry. His career with Ulano Corporation and SAATI took him around the world, teaching, training, and leaving a lasting memory on everyone he came in contact with. He was a loving father and grandfather. He watched his grandchildren grow up with pride whether it was football games, softball games, ballet, cheer leading competitions or heavy metal concerts. He was a proud "Papa." Al is survived by his children MaryLou (Petsy) Covey, Ben (Brenda) Petsy, Paul (Laura) Petsy, five grandchildren, Jared Petsy, Ashley Covey, Brandon (Brittany) Covey, Jordan Petsy, Marissa Petsy, sister Flora (Wayne) Stropki, brother Joe (Vicki) Petsy, and numerous nieces and nephews. Due to the Coronavirus there will be a private showing at Rossi Funeral Home. A private Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Church and private interment at Calvary Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The family would like to express their deepest thanks to Dan Lee, PA, Shawna, and all the doctors and staff at Primary Care Physicians for the care and love given to Al all these years. Thank you to Carlene and the nurses and staff at Mercy Hospice, you are angels and we will forever be grateful to you. Thanks as well to the nurses and aides at Rose Lane Care Facility for taking such good care of him. In lieu of flowers, please send your donations in his name to The American Heart Association.
