Alex Dean Chuchanis age 62 of North Canton, passed away on Wednesday, December 9th surrounded by love, especially that of the unwavering love and care of his wife, Deanna Dyer Chuchanis. Born in Canton to the late Gust D. and Helen T. (Moustaris) Chuchanis, he was a 1977 graduate of North Canton Hoover High School. Alex's warmth, his genuine affection for literally everyone and his big heart made him particularly endearing to his family, his friends, the many people he worked with in cooking alongside his father in the kitchen at Nick's Place Topp's Chalet, the clients he served at the A & F Shuttle Service he operated in New Mexico and everyone in between – Alex never met a stranger and was a friend to all. He had a zest for life and adventure. Having lived in Colorado, New Mexico and retired to Florida, Alex traveled back to Ohio to spend time with his family. Besides being a loving husband, he was step-father to Nino Arquilla and is also survived by five sisters Francine Chuchanis, Tonie-Ann Vance, his twin Alexis (James) Wolfe, Deborah (Roger) Pries, Deidre (Bernard) Lepkowski, and numerous nieces and nephews. Private family services are being held at St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church with internment immediately following in Forest Hill Cemetery on Monday, December 14th.
