IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Alice M.
(Biasella) Prestier
March 9, 1938 – October 28, 2025
Alice M. (Biasella) Prestier, 87, of Canton, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. She was born in Canton on March 9, 1938 to the late James and Mary (Moldovan) Biasella.
Alice was a proud graduate of Timken High School, where she served as head majorette. She was a hard worker throughout her 25 years at the Hoover Company where her dedication made Alice a valued coworker and friend to many. After her retirement, she enjoyed working many years at St. Joan of Arc School in the Latchkey program.
Alice had a deep love for gardening, ceramics and spending time with her family by their pool. She loved decorating her home for Christmas, taking great pride in creating festive displays—particularly outdoors—for all to enjoy. She was famous for her cooking and baking, always making sure no one ever left her house hungry. Her cookies were legendary and her cream horns were everyone's favorite. She was a familiar face at Fishers Foods— often stopping in more than once a day— always making sure she had just what she needed for the next meal or family gathering.
Along with her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Gerald Prestier; her infant son, James, and her great granddaughter, Savannah.
She is survived by her loving children, Victoria, (Jeff) Hathaway, Jerry "Doc" (Sherry) Prestier, and Alicia (Mark) Larry; her cherished grandchildren, Stacey (Michael), Jerry "Bear" (Ally), Josh, Joe, Ashley (Jimmy), Jamie (Matt), Jeff, Zac, Beau (Bailee); and her 14 adored great grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her very close friend, Gloria. Also, a special thank you to the Canton Regency, especially Wanda and Hospice Care. Your kindness and encouragement, meant the world to Alice and to all of us.
Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate Alice's life at the Rossi Family Funeral Home on Monday, November 3, 2025 from 12 noon to 12:45 PM with a service to follow at 1 PM officiated by Pastor Amy Downard. Entombment will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
