Anastasia (Vlahos) Coobatis, age 91 of Canton, passed away Wednesday afternoon. Born in Canton to the late James and Clara (Rotallie) Vlahos, she was preceded in death by her husband Nicholas Coobatis and brother George Vlahos. She was a 1944 graduate of McKinley High School, member of St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church and the Philoptochos Ladies Society. Anastasia worked for Rapports Clothing as the store manager then the Hoover Company, retiring in 1989. She is survived by her daughter Constance (Rustifo) Ray, son and daughter-in-law James and Diane Coobatis all of Canton, five grandchildren; Nicholas Rustifo, Michael (Renee) Rustifo, Steven (Christine) Ray, Christina and Franklin Coobatis, great-grandson Drew Rustifo, sisters Cleo Vlahos, Catherine (Sam) Demos, brothers Harry (Bessie) Vlahos, Nicholas (Fay) Vlahos all of Canton, and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Saturday from 8:30 to 9:00 am at St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church with funeral services to follow at 9:00 am, Rev. Dr. Nicholas V. Gamvas officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Anastasia's name may be made to St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church, 251 25 ^th St. NW, Canton, OH. 44709.
