ANDREAS "ANDY" H. COSTI, age 89 of Canton, passed away Sunday afternoon. Born in Tseri, Nicosia, Cyprus to the late Kostantinos and Maria (Christu) Kosti he was preceded in death by son-in-law Grigorios Skoumbris, granddaughter Tara Marie Costi, great-grandson Angelo Charles Rocco and sisters Christodoula Kakouros and Eleni Vrahime Kosti. He was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, former member of the church board, Senior Citizens of Holy Trinity and a former cantor. Andy retired in 1986 from the Ford Motor Company after 37 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Kathryn (Eframedes) Costi, children Maria Noussias, Christine Skoumbris both of Lakewood, OH, Dino (Dawn) Costi of North Canton, grandchildren Jaime "Noush" (Matt) Rocco, Alexa Marie "Skoureli" Costi, great-grandchildren whom he loving called his little "Pipinia", Ava, Olivia and Andrew Rocco, brother Kyriakos Vrahime Kosti of Cyprus, cousin Presbytera Bertha Shiepis of Canton, brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews here and in Cyprus and numerous godchildren. Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 10:00 am till 12 noon at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Funeral services will follow at 12 noon with Rev. Dr. Daniel Rogich officiating, assisted by Rev. Fr. Constantine G. Shiepis and Rev. Dr. Deacon Keric Shiepis. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Louis Shaheen, Dr. Kun Nam, the staff of Astoria Skilled Nursing and Great Lakes Hospice for their continued care and support.
