Obituary

Angelo "Joey" Markino passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2016. He was born at home in Malvern, Ohio on May 19, 1926 to the late James Sr. and Mary (Caserta) Markino. Joey was preceded in death by his sister Rose Wibberley. He graduated from Malvern High School and Kent State University. Joey retired from Wilkof Morris Steel Corporation. He was a veteran of WW II and the Korean Conflict serving in the Navy. He was a member of the Basilica of St. John the Baptist. Joey is survived by sisters and brothers-in-law Nancy and Jack Kibler of Minerva, Betty and David Cunningham of Hobe Sound, Florida, brother and sister-in-law James and Mary Jane Markino of Dover. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Monday, March 14 th from 10 to 11 am at St. Francis Xavier Church in Malvern, Ohio with a Mass of Christian burial to follow at 11:00 am, Rev. Fr. Victor Cinson celebrant. Cremation will take place and burial in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Bill Meese Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Plain Local Schools, 1801 Schneider Rd. NE, Canton, Ohio 44721.
