Angelo Ziccardi, age 86 of Canton, passed away Monday April 24 , 2017. Born in Canton to the late Antonio and Mary (Marchesciano) Ziccardi, he was a graduate of Timken Vocational High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He worked for Timken Company for 44 years, retiring in 1993. He was an avid bowler and golfer and was a member of Catholic order of Foresters, VFW Post 3747, Hall of Fame Luncheon Club and the Eagles. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Lucy Ziccardi and son Marc Ziccardi. Angelo is survived by his wife Sharon "Sherry" (Cooper); brother Donald Ziccardi of Uniontown, son Michael (Ismat) Ziccardi, four grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews. Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 5 to 8 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 am in Christ the Servant Catholic Church with Msgr. Lewis F. Gaetano celebrant. Inurnment will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Angelo's sister-in-law, Norma McCourt, for all her loving care.
