Anita Louise Puntenney, age 59 of Canton, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2016. She was born on March 26, 1957 in Cleveland, Ohio to Charles, Jr. and Betty (Howell) Austin. She greatly enjoyed making quilts and loved her pet dogs GiGi, Katie, and MiMi. Anita is preceded in death by her father Charles Austin, Jr. and her brother David Austin. She left behind her husband George Puntenney, son Brian Paul Puntenney, and two step-sons Greg (Wendy) Puntenney and Jeff (Michelle) Puntenney. She is also survived by her brothers Richard (Jacci) Austin, Charles (Deanna) Austin, Robert (Jane) Austin, and James (Lisa) Austin; sister-in-law Marlene Austin; grandchildren Hollie, Hayley, and Trenton Puntenney; great-grandson Holden Felgenauer; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. The family would like to thank all of the people at the Mercy Medical Center ICU who worked so hard to save her life.
