Anita Scavelli passed away unexpectedly on the 27th of November, 2014, at the age of 64, at her home in Louisville, Ohio. Anita was born on the 20th of August, 1950, in Canton, Ohio to parents James and Norma White. She graduated from Canton South High School in 1968 and from Walsh College in 1974 with a degree in Psychology. She dedicated her life to raising her own children and to working with children at the Canton Montessori School, where she has been employed for the last 15 years. She was an active member of Basilica of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, an avid reader, loved to crochet, and loved to cheer for the Louisville Leopards, Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Indians. Anita was a devoted wife and mother and will be dearly missed by her loved ones. Anita was preceded in death by her father, James White and is survived by her mother, Norma White; husband Al Scavelli; three children, Heather, Alyse, and Bobby Gothot; three step-children, Angelo, Jessica (Jason), and Albert (Melissa) Scavelli; step-grandson, Rocco Scavelli; two sisters, Christine (Art) Wright and Mary (Denny) Cooper; two brothers, Joe (Kim) White and Johnny (Kris) White; 2 nieces, 3 nephews, and 2 great nephews. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at the Basilica of St. John the Baptist at 10:00 am with Rev. Fr. Edward Beneleit celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
