Ann M. (Baroni) Turkal, age 92 of Canton, passed away Friday afternoon. Born in Garrett, PA, May 8, 1923 to the late Martin and Rose (Moracco) Baroni, she was preceded in death by her husband John Turkal, brothers Martin, Lester, Neil, Harry, Ernest, Pete and Constantine "Stump" Baroni, sister Lena DiManno, and furry companion "Fritz". Ann was a graduate of Canton McKinley High School. She had worked at Hercules Engines during WW II then for Ferraro's Bakery. An amazing baker, Ann was always the first one to offer her baking services for weddings, birthdays, or holiday parties. She is survived by her sisters-in-law Norma Baroni, Donna Baroni, June Davis, and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 10 to 11 am at the Rossi Family Funeral Home with services to follow at 11:00, Msgr. Lewis F. Gaetano officiating. Internment will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Christ the Servant Catholic Church, 833 39 ^th St. NW, Canton, OH 44709, or Aultman Compassionate Care Center, 2821 Woodlawn Ave. NW, Canton, OH, 44708. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the Canton Regency, Aultman Hospital and Aultman Compassionate Care Center staffs for their loving care of Ann.
