Anna (Primavera) Barnes, age 92 of Canton, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Canton on July 17, 1932 to the late Antonio and Cesina (DiFrancisco) Primavera. Anna was a member of Divine Mercy Parish - St. Mary Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Barnes, her siblings, Mary Dureska, Louise DiAntonio, Josephine DiAntonio, Louis DiAntonio & Sylvester Primavera. Anna is survived by her children Tina (Barry) Lippert, Jim (Lisa) Barnes, and Annie (Jerry) King; six grandchildren; Brandon & Jessica Lippert, Jimmy & Rachel Barnes, Giana & Sienna King and one great-grandchild, Dominic Lippert & sister-in-law Ruth DiAntonio.

Anna's greatest joy was putting her family first. We could not have been blessed with a more loving & selfless mother & grandmother. Her ability to make everyone laugh and smile came naturally. Her fighting spirit and feisty attitude will never be forgotten.

We are forever grateful for the wonderful care and devoted staff at Bethany Nursing Home. In the short time she was there they showed her love & kindness.

Family and friends will be received at the Rossi Family Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at 11:00 at Divine Mercy Parish - St. Mary Church, with Rev. Fr. John E. Sheridan as celebrant. Entombment to follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to S.A.M.
