IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Anna B.
(Guidone) Carozzi
September 6, 2014
ANNA B. (GUIDONE) CAROZZI
The world became a little less bright early last Saturday evening, September 6 th when Anna Bernadette Carozzi passed away suddenly from injuries sustained in a car accident. She was 78 years old. Anna was born in Wellsville, Ohio. She and her family moved to Canton when she was in 2 nd grade. She attended Gibbs and St. Peters Grade Schools. She was a graduate of Canton McKinley High School. All who knew her will miss her boundless energy and unbridled passion toward the people and things she loved. She radiated any room she walked into with a huge smile and as big of hugs that her petite body could generate. Anna had the unique gift of making any one she was talking with feel as if they were the most important person in the world; because, at that moment to her they were. Anna was extremely proud of her service to our country in the United States Marine Corp at bases in San Francisco and Hawaii. A year after her discharge from the USMC, to the delight of her family, she met a "Canton guy", Frank Carozzi. Anna and Frank were married on June 15, 1963. They had forty-two wonderful years of marriage together. Anna felt that her most important role and biggest accomplishment was that of mother to her two children. Anna was not a casual admirer of things. In the late 1970's she began taking aerobics classes simply to get some exercise. Shortly thereafter she was asked to run the class. This beginning developed into what became known as "Ann's Aerobics". It grew into one of the largest aerobic dance programs in the Canton area through the 1980s and 1990s, with hundreds of loyal attendees. Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; parents Sabatino and Esther Guidone; brothers, Jules and Samuel Guidone and sister Mary Gialluca, nephews Frank Gialluca, Rodney Gialluca and niece Lisa Marie Guidone. Anna is survived by son Frank (Annette) of North Canton, daughter Natalie Mamlin (Joe) of Dublin, grandchildren, Francesca and Joey Mamlin and Aaron Magisano. Brothers Frank (Angie) of San Diego, California, Paul (Kack) of Louisville, Ohio, Gene (Dorothy) of Canton, John (Michelle) of Canton, sisters Helen Gialluca of Canton, Genevieve Steimer (Sam) of Canton, and Lillian Boyajian of North Canton. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and countless dear friends. We will all miss this lovely dynamo that touched so many lives with her optimism, honesty and complete love of life. Anna leaves us all with a blueprint of a life well lived. Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 4 to 7 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 am at St. Peter Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Edward Beneleit, celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
