Anna C. (Morelli) Garrini age 84 of Canton, passed away Tuesday, June 26. Born in Canton to the late Paul and Carmela (Bruno) Morelli, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years John J. Garrini Jr, brother Frank Morelli, sisters Catherine DeGiralomo and Rose Casciato. Anna was an amazing cook but her specialty was baking cookies. She would make thousands, not dozens, but thousands of cookies for everyone's weddings and special occasions. She loved to cook and feed everyone. Anna worked at Miller Sales where she made many life-long friends and also helped with her husband's business. She is survived by her daughters Joan (Dr. Richard) Streck of Columbus, OH, Jean (James) Hoover of Canton, Linda (Mike) Fidelholtz of Mt. Pleasant, SC, seven grandchildren; Tricia (Mark) Boleky, Philip Streck, Joseph (Rachel) Streck, Alan and Michael Mileti, Katie (fiancée Connor Marrero) Fidelholtz, Kari Fidelholtz, five great-grandchildren, brother-in-law Dan Casciato of New Castle, PA, sisters-in-law Julia Stambaugh and Nancy Garrini of Canton and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 27 at 11:00 am at Christ the Servant Catholic Parish with Msgr. Lewis F. Gaetano celebrant. Family and friends will be received one hour before services. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Luke Lutheran Home Foundation. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the wonderful and compassionate nurses and caregivers at St. Luke's Lutheran Home.
