Anna (Masie) M. Nichols, age 87, passed away early Thursday morning at Altercare Nobles Pond after an extended illness. Born on March 5, 1929 to the late Thomas and Mary (Scavelli) Moreno. She was a life resident of Canton area, a 1948 graduate of Timken Vocational High School, and a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. Anna was a long-time waitress at the Arcadia Grill and retired from Napoli's Restaurant. She enjoyed her family and always enjoyed a good laugh. Anna was preceded in death by her husband, William Nichols, infant daughter Kristina, and sister Constance Shaw. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Kimberly Anthony (John), Karen Ebey (James), sons Thomas, William, Ronald and Robert. Grandchildren John Burkhardt-Kettwich (Dane), Ronald Nichols Jr.; sister Gloria Morgese and sister-in-law Madeline Delong of Canton; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends will be received at the Rossi Family Funeral Home on Monday from 5 to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter Catholic Church on Tuesday at 10 am with interment to follow at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Altercare Nobles Pond for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anna's name can be made to Mercy Hospice.
