Anna T. (Pisani) Sama, age 90 of Massillon, passed away early Thursday, July 13, 2022. Born in Sant' Andrea, Italy to the late Giuseppe and Teresa (Ferraro) Pisani, she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years Nick J. Sama and brother Dominic Pisani.

Anna was a member of The Basilica of St. John the Baptist, Alter and Rosary Society of St. John, Sant' Andrea Card Club, Ben V. Marconi Sons of Italy Lodge #1628, and the Stark County Bocce League.

She is survived by her children Joe Sama, Teresa (Charles) Almasy, Kathy (Dean) Apostalides, five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, sisters Dolores (Joe) Galasso, and Silvana Pisani, and the Varratis whom she loved and raised as her own. Our love and thanks goes to Joy Lyn Sama, who was by Anna's side and Teresa's side through it all. The family of Anna are eternally grateful to Jeanete and the staff on Main Four at Mercy Medical Center. You gave our mom expert care, filled with compassion and love. To Dr. Justin Morton, we wish to extend our thanks to you for being the voice of reason and delivering news with kindness. To Jenny, Marah, Alex and the staff at Heritage Villas: you were the hands and feet of Jesus. Thank you does not seem adequate. You loved Anna Banana well, it was certainly a place for our mom and family through this time. Family and friends will be received on Monday from 5 to 7 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, 12 noon, at The Basilica of St. John the Baptist. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations, in Anna's name, may be made to St. John's Villa (www.stjohnsvilla.net).
