Anne (Monastra) Trifero, age 88 of Hartville, passed away Friday morning. Born in Torrenova, Sicily on August 22, 1926 to the late Joseph and Annie Monastra, and Nunziata Notaro. She lived in Uniontown most of her life, and was a member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. She was a graduate of Mount Marie High School, as well as the Brooklyn Academy of Dress Design. Anne was the owner and operator of Rosann's Bridal and Formal for 33 and a half years. She was preceded in death by her husband Dominick Trifero, daughter Nancy Trifero-Gillespie, sister Antoinetta Gaddis, and brother Nick Monastra. Anne is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Rosemarie and Bruce Giffen of Hartville, son-in-law John Gillespie, her sister Dolores Sinkovitz of Louisville, and brother Dante Monastra of Tuscany, Italy. She is also survived by five grandchildren Emily (Gus) Schneider, Sean (Amanda) Gillespie, Elise (Taylor) Russell, Brent (Margie) Giffen, and Eric (Tiffany) Giffen; adopted grandson Tyler Gaddis, and six great-grandchildren Rachel, Brooke, and Dylan Giffen and Alice, Molly, and Ezra Schneider. Family and friends will be received on Monday from 5 to 7 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11 am at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Dave Durkee officiating. Internment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Nancy Trifero-Gillespie Scholarship Fund at Eastern Kentucky University.
