ANTHONY G. "TONY" GARCIA, age 71 of Canton, died Thursday morning surrounded by loving family and friends. Born in Canton, he was the son of the late Octavio and Betty Garcia. Also, preceded in death by brother Octavio Garcia. He was a graduate of McKinley High School class of 1961; served in the United States Army from 1961 to 1964; and employed at Sugardale Foods as a truck driver and traffic manager for 40 years. He married his wife and best friend, Janet (Wise) Garcia on June 4, 1966 and recently celebrated their 48 ^th anniversary. He has two sons, Scott (Chrystel) Garcia of Canton, Jon (Carolyn) Garcia of Virginia, five grandchildren; Anthony, Mitchell, Jared, Emily, Megan, and sister Bee (Frank) Garcia of Canton. He was a member of Greenwood Christian Church in Canton and a trustee of the GlenOak Kick-Off Club. He loved to travel to Myrtle Beach, the Florida Keys, and ride Cedar Point roller-coasters with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed golf with his friends, watching GlenOak Eagles, the Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Brown's football teams. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am at Greenwood Christian Church with Pastor Tony Amerine officiating. Calling hours will be on Monday from 4 to 8:00 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home in Canton. Interment will be in Henry Warstler Cemetery.
