Anthony "Tony" J. Cespedes, age 70 of Canton, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023 after a 30 month battle with pancreatic cancer at home under the care of Mercy Hospice. Tony was born in Canton on December 11, 1953 to the late Pete and Phyllis (Sturiale) Cespedes. He graduated in 1971 from Glenwood High School, and furthered his education at the Ohio State University and Akron University, where he went to Law School. Tony worked for Alside in the Law department for 25 years, and later became a self-employed Attorney. He was a member of the Spanish-American Club, loved to golf, and was a life-long Browns and OSU fan. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother Josephina Sturiale who was instrumental to his childhood. Tony is survived by his loving wife Kristyn Cespedes, whom he was married to for 18 years and shared 27 years together. Also survived by his children Steve (Desiree) Cespedes, Tony Cespedes, Jr., Nicole Cespedes; step-daughter Brit (Matt) McKinney; grandchildren Aubree and Carson Cespedes; brother Jim (Beth) Cespedes; niece Tori (Brian) Revis; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Family was Anthony's greatest love. He enjoyed family vacations, Sunday dinners, and Christmas Eve with the family. An open house Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Tozzi's on 12th St. from 12 noon to 4 p.m. All are welcome including children. The family would like to thank Dr. Gabriel and his staff for all of the care that was shown to Tony during this time. Memorial donations, in Tony's name, may be made to the J. Babe Stearn Center.
