Antonio Capaldi age 82 of Massillon, passed away Monday evening at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Goriano Valli, Italy to the late Angelo and Margerita (DiGiorgio) Capaldi he was preceded in death by a sister and brother. He served in the Italian military, Alpini Division, as a medic before coming to the United States in 1960. Antonio was a hard working man who retired from Stark Ceramics. He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Survived by his wife of 52 years Elda (DePaulis) Capaldi, daughters Angela (Richard) Clark, Luciana Capaldi, four grandchildren; Richard and Andrew Clark, Anthony and Gina Gable, nieces and nephews in Italy. Family and friends will be received on Friday from 9 to 10 am in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian burial to follow at 10:00, Rev. Fr. G. David Weikart celebrant. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
