Antonios “Tony” Granitsas, age 81 of North Canton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 26, 2026. He was born in Athens, Greece on June 22, 1944 to the late Dimitrios and Maria (Skiada) Granitsas. Tony proudly served in the Greek Navy for seventeen years. He later in life moved to the United States, where he retired from Gregory Galvanizing after forty-six years of employment. Tony also enjoyed thirteen years working as a Crossing Guard for the North Canton Police.

Tony leaves behind his loving wife Eleni (Symeonides) Granitsas; children Christian (Melissa) Granitsas and Tatiana (Jeffrey) Welch; and grandchildren Anthony, Emma, Niko, and Brandon. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Georgia Fallensedt and Joanna Fronimopoulos.

Family and friends will be received at the Rossi Family Funeral Home on Monday, March 2, 2026 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon. Interment to follow at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
