Arbenia "Arbie" H. Martino, age 97 of Canton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. She was born in Middlebranch, Ohio on July 29, 1925 to the late Vincenzo and Antoinette (Girardi) Costello. Arbie worked for 16 years at the Mercy Medical Center Gift Shoppe, retiring in 1995. She was also a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Dan Martino; son-in-law Dennis Varn; brothers Leonard and Anthony Costello; sister Fermina Moore; and great-granddaughter Lily Jo. Arbie is survived by her daughter Mary Jo Varn; grandchildren Dan Varn and Jacquie (Brian) Crescenzo; great-grandchildren Grady and Lyla; brothers Edward and Nick Costello; and sisters Mary Destefano, Shirley Picone, and Nancy Houck.

Family and friends will be received at the Rossi Family Funeral Home on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
