Aristides A. Poa, age 98 of North Canton, passed away early Wednesday, July 31, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Aristides Poa was born in Krimskaya,

Russia to the late Dr. Anastasios and Despina (Demertzis) Poa. He emigrated to Greece from Russia around 1936. After graduating high school, he attended a radio mechanical school named Euclides in Thessaloniki, Greece. He then emigrated to the USA from Greece in 1959. He would then attend a Volkswagen training facility in Columbus, Ohio to become an auto mechanic.

He was preceded in death by sisters Olga Piperidis and Margarita Afentul. He was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Aristides is survived by his wife of 62 years Anna (Savarika) Poa, son Constantine Poa, daughter Helen Poa (Stavros Ganios), son Christ (Jeana) Poa, grandchildren Anna Ganios (Konstantinos Apostolopoulos), Antonio Ganios, Maria Ganios, Natalie Ganios, Sophia Ganios, Christos Ganios, Mackenzie Cheyney, Calista Poa, and Tessa Poa. A private family service was held. Interment was in Henry Warstler Cemetery.
