Armand "Gabe" Gabriele, age 79 of Canton, passed away peacefully Saturday morning. Born in Canton to the late Joseph and Florence (Norcia) Gabriele, he was preceded in death by his sister Katie Potter. He was the owner of Gabe's Meat and Deli, which he started in March of 1986. Gabe was an avid golfer and McKinley football fan. He is survived by his wife Antoinette "Toots" (Mercorelli), with whom he would have celebrated 49 years of marriage in November, son and daughter-in-law Mark and Lynette, granddaughters Madyson, Emmalee, Audrey, siblings; Rose Price, Jenny Luchitz, Wanda Gabriele, Joseph (Bess) Gabriele Jr, Rhoda Gabriele, Michael Gabriele, Gloria Jean DeChiara and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. Private graveside services will be held on Wednesday at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Gabe's name may be made to a charity of your choice.
