Avrilia Georgiades age 87 of Canton, passed away early Friday morning. Born in Kastoria, Greece to the late Christos and Helen (Sangarangou) Savarikas, she was also preceded in death by her husband John Georgiades. She was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Koraes, and Senior Citizens of Holy Trinity. She is survived by her children Chris (Brenda) Georgiades, George (Lisa) Georgiades, Maria (Michael) Sikoutris, grandchildren Jon, James, Stephen, Joanna, sisters Vasiliki Vadrahanis of Kastoria, Greece, Anna(Aris) Poa, many nieces and nephews and her beloved Coco. Family and friends will be received on Monday from 10 to 11 am at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church with the funeral service to follow at 11:00, Rev. Dr. Daniel Rogich and Rev. Fr. Constantine G. Shiepis and Dr. Deacon Keric Shiepis officiating. The family would like to thank St. Joseph's Nursing Center for their gracious caregiving. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
