Barbara Rose (Smer-Morro)Eliades, also lovingly known as Yia Yia and Pudge, was born on April 28 ^th , 1938 and died peacefully at the age of 80 on January 29 ^th , 2019. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Harry "Cat" Eliades. Barbara is survived by two daughters Elizabeth (Kevin) Bigler and Barbara (David Monter) Waers; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many siblings. Her large family and group of friends all meant the world to her, and they all loved her dearly in return. Calling hours will be at First Friends Church, Canton, on Wednesday, February 6, from 10 to 11 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m., with Pastor Stan Hinshaw officiating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart of Mary Cemetery.
