Bessie Bellas age 95 of North Canton, passed away Saturday evening. Born in Toledo, OH to the late John and Angeline (Frenzos) Bellas, she was preceded in death by her brothers Gust and George Bellas. She was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Toledo where she was a Sunday School teacher. Bessie was a member of the Senior Group – Young At Heart, GAPHA, and the Greek Editor of Echo's Publication in Toledo. She was employed for 18 years with J.C. Penny retiring in 1968 then went to work for First Federal Savings and Loan retiring in 1987 after 19 years of service. She is survived by her nephews John (Denise) Bellas, Peter (Mari) Bellas, niece Mother Paula (Vicki) Bellas, great nieces and great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 10 to 11 am at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 740 N. Superior St., with funeral service to follow at 11, Rev. Fr. Larry Legakis officiating. Interment will be in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
