Bill "Billy" Christos Kascavelis, age 83 of Canton, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2023. He was born in Canton on July 27, 1940 to the late Christos and Lena Kascavelis. Bill graduated from McKinley High School, and proudly served in the U.S. Army. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Walsh College, and was later employed by the Village of Tequesta in Florida, retiring in 1998 as the Director of Finance.

In his free time, Bill loved to golf and fish, but above all else, he loved his Shih Tzu companion, Cody Boy. Along with his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his first wife Marilyn (Pucci) Kascavelis; second wife Patricia (Muse) Kascavelis; and sister Katherine Poirer.

He is survived by his daughter Michele (Greg) Smith; special friends George and Joani Smishko; grandchildren Lewis Smith and Alisha (Josh) Morefield; great-grandchildren Addilynn and Logan; many nieces and nephews; and adopted son Chet (Debbie) Kascavelis.

The family wishes to thank their team at Aultman Hospice, especially Marie, Sean, Pastor Joe, Kelly, and Sara. Also a special thank you to Bill's caregivers Jocelyn, Kaylee, and Jasmine from Your Home Court Advantage.

Private family services have been held. Memorial donations, in Bill's name, may be made to Aultman Hospice.
