(Morena) Bandi
October 2, 1941 – May 14, 2015
Bonita Ann Bandi, age 73, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Aultman Hospital, with her family by her side, following a three month illness. Born in Canton, October 2, 1941, Bonnie was the third child and only daughter of the late James and Julia Masterana Morena. She attended Gibbs grade school, and was a 1959 graduate of Timken High School where she was a Rockette and Majorette. Bonnie's 31 year employment career included two years with Midwest Title, and 29 years as Secretary-Treasurer and Marketing with Julie Krisher and the Beacon Title Agency Family. She had a host of friends through the 29 years in the Women's Council of Realtors, and 20 year membership with the Stark County Association of Realtors. She was a former member of Mothers of Twins Club and Shady Hollow Country Club where she enjoyed tennis and golf. Bonnie is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Ken Bandi, son Brian of Cleveland, twin sons Jim and Jeff (Amy) of Canton, and grandson Nicholas of Louisville. She was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother. In addition she is survived by aunts Nettie Warnoff and Cheryl Morena, sisters-in-law Sue Bandi and Katherine Hoffman, nephews and nieces David and Dennis Morena, Debra Morena Armstrong, Brett, Bart and Beth Bandi, Denny Deffenbaugh, Sherry Hanson, Susan DiFrancesca, Glenda Bennetts, many great and great nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins including Charleen Davidson and Treva Aeling of Canton, who were like sisters to her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Nicholas in 2003 and James Morena in 2007, and brother-in-law Dr.Robert Bandi. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 beginning at 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 4940 Tuscarawas St. W, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 Noon, with Father G. David Weikert presiding. Her ashes will be interred at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations in Bonnie's memory may be made to the Leukemia Society.
