Obituary

CARL A. CHIOFOLO, JR., age 71 of North Canton, passed away Monday morning after a sudden illness. Born in Canton to the late Carl A. Sr. and Mary (Conti) Chiofolo, he was a 1960 graduate of Glenwood High School and the Allied Institute of Technology in Chicago. He was the owner and president of Hydratecs Injection Equipment, located in Akron, from 1970 to 2008. He was a member of Little Flower Catholic Parish, Little Flower Men's Club, Ohio Manufacture's Association, NRA and was President of The Village of St. Ive's Homeowner's Association. Survived by his wife of 48 years Nancy (Ickes) Chiofolo, children Lisa and Steve Mears of Canton, Elizabeth "Beth" and Peter DeVito of Cleveland, James and Allison Chiofolo of Silver Lake, seven grandchildren Anna Mears, Andrew, Simon and Jay DeVito, Mary, Ellen and Elizabeth Chiofolo. Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 6:30 to 9 pm at the Rossi Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 am at Little Flower Catholic Parish with Rev. Fr. Donald Feicht, celebrant. Internment will be in North Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Carl's name may be made to Matthew 8:20 c/o Little Flower Catholic Parish, 2040 Diamond St. NE, Canton, OH 44721 or the Salvation Army, 420 Market Ave. S, Canton, OH 44702.
