Carl Dechiara, age 90 of Canton, passed away early Friday morning. Born in Canton to the late Nicholas and Anna (Loudon) Dechiara, he was also preceded in death by his brothers Anthony and Natalo and sister Julie Leno. Carl was a 1946 graduate of McKinley High School. He was an Army Veteran of WWII. Carl was an avid golfer and expert ball hawker. He enjoyed the simple things in life like handing out candy, babies, birds and flowers. Carl loved his family and the Lord with all his heart. He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years Mary (Goodyear) Dechiara, children Anthony (Marti) Dechiara, Carl (Kathy) Dechiara II, Anna Sutton, Maria Potvin, seven grandchildren; Michael and Natalie Dechiara, Renee Lattavo, John (Amber Vicencio) Sutton, Maria (Mark) Trissel, Dianne and Justin Potvin, great-grandchildren Christian, Grace, J.B., and Noel. Family and friends will be received on Monday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. Funeral Services to begin at noon in the funeral home, with Rev. Fr. Edward Beneleit officiating. Interment will be in St. Jacob's Cemetery. For those who wish, donations in Carl's name may be made to a charity of your choice.
