Carmel M. (Marcanthony) Suter, age 90 of Canton, passed away unexpectedly Thursday April 14, 2016. Born in Canton, Ohio to the late Emidio and Bambina (Genaro) Marcanthony, she was preceded in death by her husband John "Jack" Suter, brothers Paul, Frank and Tony Marcanthony, sisters Rose Giaquinta, Virginia Battista and Ann DeGasperis. Carmel was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Parish. She was an excellent cook and baker, and always enjoyed sharing her Christmas cookies with family and friends. She also took great pride in her vegetable and flower gardens every summer. Always active, Carmel was presently taking a class to brush-up on her Italian, and actually took her homemade cannolis to her last class. For Carmel family was everything. She also adored her two cats. He favorite saying was "Age is an issue of mind over matter, if you don't mind it doesn't matter." She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Vicki and Kent Lovejoy, Karen and Scott Fitzpatrick all of Canton, grandsons Ryan Lovejoy of Canton and Evan Lovejoy of Columbus (who were her pride and joy) and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 4 to 6 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 am in St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Don King, celebrant. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
