Carmie M. (DiRuzza) McMahan, age 83 of Canton, passed away Thursday afternoon. Born in Canton, to the late Serafino and Josephine (Attenise) DiRuzza, she was preceded in death by her husband James V. McMahan, brother Louis DiRuzza, and sister Loretta Corbit. Carmie was a graduate of Lincoln High School Class of 1955. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, church choir and very active in R.C.I.A. Carmie enjoyed swimming and yoga at the YWCA. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Vance and Correen McMahan, Aaron and Suzanne McMahan; five grandchildren, Jared, Megan, Nathan, Griffin, Audrey McMahan; brothers and sisters-in-law Don and Carol DiRuzza, Rick and Judy DiRuzza, sister-in-law Marylou DiRuzza, brother-in-law Elmer Corbit; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. G. David Weikart as celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations, in Carmie's name, may be made to St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.
