Carmina N. (Campanaro) Spera (Carme), age 89, passed away February 13, 2015 in Aultman Compassionate Care Center. The daughter of Rose and Dan Campanaro, Carme was born in Canton, Ohio and was a graduate of Timken Vocational High School. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Catherine Bush, her brother, Michael Campanaro, and her husband, Vincent (Vince) Spera, to whom she was married for 59 years. She began her career in retail at Polsky's in downtown Canton, and worked as the assistant to the store manager until the store closed in 1978, then as office manager for Josef's Furniture in Canton. She and Vince were charter members of both Prestwick Country Club in Uniontown, Ohio and Sun Tree Country Club in Melbourne, FL, where they previously resided during the winter months. They were also members of St. Michael the Archangel Church in Canton. Carme is survived by her brother, Dominic (Dino) Campanaro of Canton, sister-in-law, Viola Spera of Canton, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many wonderful friends. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, February 16 ^th at 11:00 am at St. Michael the Archangel Church, with interment following at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Family and friends will be received on Monday at the church from 10 to 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Community Harvest at 4915 Fulton Drive NW, Canton, OH 44718.
