Cassandra Marie Chine-DeFrank, age 20 of Massillon, passed away peacefully Sunday morning. Born in Canton, she was a graduate of GlenOak High School. She was in the National Honor Society and on the speech and debate team. Cassandra had completed her freshman year at Kent State University Stark Campus. Family and education were the most important things to her. She is survived by her parents, Christine Marie Chine, Thomas B. DeFrank, brothers Quentin DeFrank, Curtis Ogden, and sister Brianna DeFrank; maternal grandparents, Jeff (Pam) Chine, Sandy (Jeffrey) Elton; paternal grandparents, Thomas R. DeFrank, Lynn Phillips; paternal great-grandmothers Regina DeFrank and Georgia Kimpel. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home, with Rev. Gary Smith officitating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
