Catherine Elizabeth Petrovich died on January 17th. "Cathy" or "Kay" was born on July 21, 1919 in Horning, PA, to parents Theodore Petrovich and Eva Karpa. After the death of her mother, her father remarried and Catherine gained three new half siblings. Her father died in 1927 and the family relocated to Canton, Ohio. As a girl, Catherine began a lifelong friendship with Ms. Anna Bramhall, who mentored her. Catherine worked happily for the Hoover Company in the accounting department for 38 years; always walking to and from her job. Catherine enjoyed traveling, gardening, reading, baking, crafting, as well as knitting or crocheting. She was most joyful while helping others and often knitted items to send as gifts, as well as teaching others. She will be remembered best for her kindness, originality, wit, independence, courage and generosity. Catherine is survived by her sister Alice Blazekovich of Pacifica, CA, and her brother Walter Peterson of Canton, OH; niece Tess Dobrow of Santa Rosa, CA niece Regina Perrine and nephews John Cowan and Roger Peterson of Canton OH, as well as multiple grandnieces and grandnephews. May she rest in peace, and God rest her soul. She will be deeply missed. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 am at the Rossi Family Funeral Home with services to follow at 11:30 am, Rev. Fr. Jeffrey Stealey officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery.
