Catherine "Kate" A. (Spataro) Martin age 86 of Canton, passed away Wednesday evening. Born in Canton to the late Joseph and Antonietta "Lena" (Addessi) Spataro, she was preceded in death by her brothers Frank and Paul Spataro, and sisters Ursula Sanders and Rosemary Vitale. Kate was a graduate of Timken Vocational High School. She was employed at the Canton Repository for 27 years then with Nationwide Insurance for 25 years before retiring. She was a member of St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Church and the American Legion Post #440 Auxiliary of North Industry. Kate is survived by her husband Glenn Martin, step-daughters Glenda Marie (Dr. Randy) Folker, Merry Martin, Loretta Elizabeth Martin, sister Mary Hawkins, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Rudolph and Carmella Vincenti, and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Monday from 5 to 7 pm and Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00 am in St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Tom Kraszewski celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
